Lean Basics | Getting more Work Done | Lean Lab Workshop

  Lean Practices your Non-Lean Projects

In this workshop you will learn why other teams are sluggish, why they drop balls, have bottlenecks and don’t win championships. This workshop makes the business case for Lean Project Delivery and demonstrates the principles and practices that can deliver extraordinary results.

Three main learning objects are:

  1. Why lean creates a competitive advantage
  2. How lean is applied to the building industry
  3. Basic Principles and Practices to get you started on a lean journey

Details: How to lean up your projects.  Course Introduction Video

The workshop includes:
  • There is a Business Case: WHY are Lean companies more successful?
  • Simple Principles and Practices: Lean is as simple as focusing on creating Value for the customer getting work to flow and stopping to fix problems
  • Design for Value: How to deliver higher performance at less cost
  • Build with Efficiency: How to drastically improve productivity on projects
  • Learn by Doing:  Practice lean with hands-on production simulations
Creating an AHA Moment!

When participants experience hands on lean production and see the huge potential of a different way of approaching production, the light bulb goes on and there is an AHA moment. Creating this AHA moment is instrumental in getting the team engaged and primed for the cultural change needed for Lean Project Delivery.

Our goal with this workshop is to help  break down employees’ natural resistance to change, making it a practical and entertaining way to introduce new concepts, open constructive dialogue and demonstrate the positive aspects of well-planned directed change.

The next steps for participants would be to take additional training. An option would be to arrange for a Lean Project Boot Camp or take the Online Lean Project Facilitator Course.
